The monsoon season was exceptionally long this year with the last of the rains not too long ago.
Trail Boss J. Behn reports:
The trail is being put back in shape after the monsoon rains. All the trails in Tubac and the trail to the Mission are open with the bridges back in place. Today we mowed and cleared the trail from Santa Gertrudis south to the river. Yesterday the bridge was put back up at the Guy Tobin Trail head in Rio Rico and the trail head mowed and trimmed. Two weeks ago the “loop” trail in Amado was cleared and mowed. Within a week, the Richard Williams Trail head and the trail north to the river will be mowed and cleared as well as the trail north from Rio Rico. The trail south from Palo Parado and from Guy Tobin Trail head will remain in pretty bad shape for a while as they need lots of maintenance possible relocation. – Jerry
